  • Unit 4: Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’ – Study of extracts from the play.
  • Unit 5: Modern Novel – Class reading and response to ‘Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry’

  • End of year exams focus on reading and writing skills learnt during the year

How parents can support learning:

  • Provide access to a computer at home with appropriate software.
  • Encourage reading an appropriate range of texts, both fiction and non-fiction.
  • Support homework activities and discuss the texts studied in class.
