ASSESSMENTS · Students need to produce a project that consists of at least: · 2 large pencil drawings · 2 colour pieces of work done in different media · Students are required to use and be inspired by at least two artists in this project. · Artists inspired pieces, (number of pieces varies according to each student and how big each piece is.) · Work must show artist inspiration · Final piece · Annotated work

How we support learning:
- Students are encouraged and expected to be more independent.
- Students sit and discuss and analyse each other’s work with the teacher.
- Verbal assessments are given on each piece of work
- Each student is given individual attention times which vary according to each student’s ability and understanding of the topic she is studying.
- Students are always welcomed outside of the classroom as necessary.
- Students vary with their ability and are encouraged individually to extend their knowledge and work using different more complex movements and artists according to their level, to produce higher level work
How parents can support learning
- Support homework activities
- Students need a designated area to work in, as work often exceeds 5 hrs and takes up a lot of room.
- Incorporate visits to places of historical interest and art galleries

ASSESSMENTS This unit combines artwork and written in-depth analyses on any topic that the student wishes to study. This written work can be a detailed essay, annotations and analyses of artists work throughout the project or an in-depth detailed study of a particular piece of art. The work should be around 3,000 words in all. |
ASSESSMENTS This is a continuation of topic 1. · Students need to produce a project that consists of at least: · 2 pencil drawings · 2 colour pieces of work done in different media · Students are required to use and be inspired by at least two artists in this project. · Artists inspired pieces, (number of pieces varies according to each student and how big each piece is.) · Work must show artist inspiration · Final piece · Annotated work · Work can be any size and format done on any chosen material.

ASSESSMENTS This is a continuation of topic 1. · Students need to produce a project that consists of at least: · 2 pencil drawings · 2 colour pieces of work done in different media · Students are required to use and be inspired by at least two artists in this project. · Artists inspired pieces, (number of pieces varies according to each student and how big each piece is.) · Work must show artist inspiration
· Annotated work · Work can be any size and format done on any chosen material. · Final piece is done under exam conditions. · The exam runs for 15 hrs

How we support learning:
- Students sit and discuss and analyse each other’s work with the teacher listening, and questioning them, prompting and encouraging them to evaluate and understand their own and others’ work.
- Verbal and written assessments are given every lesson on each piece of work
- Each student is given individual attention times which vary according to each student’s ability and understanding of the topic she is studying.
- Students are always welcomed outside of the classroom as necessary.
- Lower ability students have teacher support where necessary.
- Students vary with their ability and are encouraged individually to extend their knowledge and work using different more complex movements and artists according to their level, to produce work of a higher standard
